Smart Context Search: New Way to Cut the Noise
Table of contents
One of the biggest challenges our customers face? Too many irrelevant mentions in their projects.
Maybe your brand name is also a common word. Maybe you share it with a celebrity or a product you don’t care about. Or maybe you’re just trying to track one specific conversation in the sea of online chatter.
We’ve always worked on making this easier – whether through AI Topics, intent search, or guides on reducing noise. But now we’ve taken a bigger step. Introducing Smart Context Search.
What is Smart Context Search?
Smart Context Search is a brand-new filter in your Brand24 panel. It lets you type in a word, a phrase, or even a full sentence – and instantly refines your project to only show the mentions that fit your context.
It’s not just a keyword filter. It understands meaning.

How it works
Let’s say you’re tracking the project “Gemini”. Without filters, you’ll get everything from AI tools to horoscopes for people born in June.

Example of a mention from the Gemini project that’s not related to Google’s Gemini.
Previously, the fix was complicated Boolean prompts. Now? Just open the context filter and type:
“Google’s AI Assistant.”

That’s it. Brand24 will filter out horoscopes, leaving only mentions about the AI tool you care about.

And it doesn’t stop there.
- Summarize with AI: Smart Context Search works seamlessly with Brand Assistant, so summaries reflect only the filtered mentions.
- Events: Spikes in mentions? You’ll see the real reasons – specific to your chosen context.
Why it matters
The internet is noisy. For years, one of the most common complaints from Brand24 users has been the overwhelming number of irrelevant mentions. A single keyword can generate thousands of results, many of which have nothing to do with your project. That clutter makes it harder to analyze trends, slows down reporting, and creates frustration.
Smart Context Search changes that. By typing in a simple phrase, you can instantly strip away all the noise and see only what’s relevant.
It also lowers the barrier to getting useful insights. You don’t need to learn Boolean operators or advanced filtering tricks. You just write what you want in plain language, and Brand24 handles the rest.
Summary:
- Save time – One prompt clears out the clutter.
- Cleaner data – No more irrelevant mentions skewing your insights or reports.
- Simple to use – Forget Boolean logic; just describe what you need.
Who benefits
For PR specialists and marketing teams, Smart Context Search feels like a breath of fresh air. Instead of digging through irrelevant chatter, they can get straight to the signal.
That means campaigns can be adjusted faster, influencers can be identified more accurately, and reports can finally highlight the right conversations instead of irrelevant side stories.
For decision makers—like product managers, directors, and enterprise buyers cleaner datasets mean sharper insights, which translate into smarter decisions.
Teams can work more efficiently without needing technical training, which strengthens adoption across the organization.
And because Smart Context Search works across modules like Events, AI Insights, and Brandon, it scales effortlessly: the entire company benefits from data that’s consistent, focused, and reliable.
Summary:
- PR Specialists & Marketing Teams
- Cut through noise instantly.
- Spend less time sorting, more time acting.
- Get sharper reports with relevant insights only.
- Decision Makers (PMs, Directors, Buyers)
- See strategic insights without technical filters.
- Faster workflows with immediate impact.
- Consistent improvements across Brand24 modules – Events, AI insights, Brandon, and more.
Use cases in action
Smart Context Search isn’t just another filter – it’s designed for real situations where simple keyword matching falls short. Here’s how it works in practice:
1. Brand Names With Multiple Meanings
Let’s use an example of Delta. If you track the keyword “Delta”, your mentions flood with noise: Delta Airlines, Delta Faucets, Delta Electronics, even discussions about the Covid-19 Delta variant. Manually sorting them out is a nightmare.
With Smart Context Search, you just write:
“Delta Airlines flight experiences”
and instantly your feed is cleaned up to show only the mentions that matter for your industry.

2. Complex PR Monitoring
Now take Apple. If you just want mentions of “Apple,” you’ll drown in recipes and cider vinegar posts. Boolean could cover the basics – Apple AND (iPhone OR Mac) – but what if you’re specifically interested in comparisons between Apple and competitors? That’s where Boolean starts to collapse under complexity.
Instead, you simply type:
“Comparisons between Apple and Samsung smartphones”
and Smart Context Search does the heavy lifting, surfacing only the discussions you need without a 200-character query.

3. Crisis Communication
Sometimes speed matters more than anything. Imagine your brand sees a sudden spike in mentions. The cause could be a product launch, a viral ad, or a brewing issue. Without Smart Context Search, you’d be scrolling through every mention to piece it together.
With one phrase like:
“Customer complaints about delivery delays”
you immediately cut down to the subset of mentions that explain the spike, saving hours and giving your team the insight to act quickly.

Pricing & limits
Each Brand24 account now has one simple limit – units. Every mention processed within a context counts as one unit, and you’ll have a monthly pool of units to use, similar to your old mentions limit.
If you’d like to start using this new system or need a higher limit, please reach out to your account manager. They’ll help you get set up and adjust it to your needs.
